United Way campaign doing well

The 2008 campaign of the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley has received pledges for $2,282,947 or 33 percent of its $6.9 million goal.

The campaign is currently $33,796 ahead of where the campaign was at this time last year.

For the current funding year, the United Way has 26 partner agencies, 56 programs and seven community partnerships.

Some United Way agencies are the Open Door Community House, Second Harvest Food Bank, Homeless Resource Network and Columbus Community Center.
