Six Muscogee County schools receive state awards

Six Muscogee County schools have received Superintendent's Distinguished Achievement awards from state school superintendent Kathy Cox.

Britt David Elementary, Forrest Road Elementary, Fox Elementary, Martin Luther King Elementary, Muscogee Elementary and Columbus High School were honored for their achievements and improvements on state curriculum tests.

Winners were chosen based on students' performance on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test, the Georgia High School Graduation Test and the End of Course Test.

Britt David Elementary received an achievement award for its performance on the CRCT. Forrest Road, Fox, Martin Luther King, Muscogee Elementary received Improvement awards for their performance on the CRCT.

Columbus High received achievement awards for its performance on the Georgia High School Graduation Test and the End of Course Tests.

Each school received a certificate acknowledging their achievement.
