Special Olympics winter games set

The Special Olympics Area 10 Indoor Winter Games will be Oct. 24 at the Columbus State University Lumpkin Center.

The games will begin at 9:45 a.m. and should last until 1 p.m.

There will be approximately 200 athletes competing from Chattahoochee, Muscogee and Harris Counties.

Athletes will range in age from 4 - 70.

Around 75 Fort Benning soldiers and 25 Kendrick High students will be volunteer workers.

The public is encouraged to come cheer for the athletes.
