Planned giving seminar is Tuesday

Edward Beckwith, a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm Baker and Hostetler, LLP, will lead the 10th Annual Planned Giving Forum on Tuesday at Columbus State University (Cunningham Center), 4225 University Ave.

The sponsors are Brookstone School; The Columbus Museum; the St. Francis Foundation; CSU; and the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley.

The event is two parts: the first is 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. for financial advisors. (Light breakfast and registation begins at 8:15.) Continuing education credit, including the Bar Association Ethics credit, is available.

Part two, which includes complimentary lunch, is noon-1:30 p.m. for individuals and families. This session will help people explore reasons for philanthropic giving and ways to ensure their family's wishes.
