Leadership Georgia includes three local businessmen

Three local businessman have been chosen to participate in Leadership Georgia's class of 2009.

Travis Chambers is founder and chief executive officer of Columbus-based ERA Elite Ventures Realty.

Roy Dallis "D" Copeland, Jr. is chief commercial officer of Columbus-based Synovus Financial Corp.

Joe Ragland is president of SunTrust Bank's LaGrange division.

Leadership Georgia is a leadership-training program for young business, civic and community leaders who want to work toward a better Georgia.

Every year, the program identifies and trains a group of about 60 emerging leaders ranging from 25 to 45 years old.

Participants learn about issues affecting the state by visiting five Georgia communities throughout the year.
