Thousands of dollars in stolen property recovered in Lee County burglaries

With the arrest of two Salem, Ala. men the Lee County Sheriff's Office has solved multiple cases of break-ins on homes that were under construction.

James Adam Hall, 20, and Jeffrey Neal Gage, 24, have been arrested on 16 separate counts of Burglary and Theft charges.

Hall and Gage allegedly removed copper wiring and stealing kitchen appliances such as stoves, dishwashers, and refrigerators.

The sheriff's office said the suspects have also been connected to burglaries of homes in which families reside as well as vacant or repossessed homes primarily located in the Smith Station and Phenix City areas.

Investigators have recovered over $2,000 worth of stolen property such as weed eaters, air-compressors, stoves, and dishwashers.

Additional property is expected to be recovered and additional charges will possibly be filed against Hall and Gage, who are being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on $15,000 bonds each.

Anyone with information about these cases is asked to contact Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-522-7847.
