Edgewood students learn about national political conventions

Fourth and fifth-grade students at Edgewood Elementary got a lesson in politics Tuesday morning.

Rob Doll, who attended the Republican National Convention as a delegate, and Karl Douglass, who attended the Democratic National Convention as a worker, earlier this year both spoke to students about their experiences.

Speech pathologist Sue Smith organized the event.

The students are also preparing for mock elections, which the school will hold on Nov. 3.
