Muscogee County school counselors receive regional awards

Several Muscogee County School District counselors have received awards from the Georgia School Counselors Association.

B.J. McBride, the district's director of guidance, safe and drug-free schools and social work, was named "Supervisor of the Year" for Region V.

Amy Johnson, a counselor at Downtown Magnet Academy, was named the Region V "Counselor of the Year."

Trikella Nelson, a counselor at Columbus High School, was named "Secondary School Counselor of the Year" for Region V.

State and regional winners will be recognized at the GSCA Fall Conference Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 20 in Augusta, Georgia.
