Blanket Run set for Saturday

The Third Annual Blanket Run sponsored by Heavens' Saints Motorcycle Ministries is 8 a.m.-noon Saturday.

Bikes will stage at the Civic Center at 8 a.m., ride to LaGrange and return to Open Door Community House with blankets about 10:30-11 for a hotdog lunch.

Everyone who attends is asked to bring a blanket, coat or jacket (new or gently used).

Open Door is located at 2405 Second Ave.

John Allport was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound at 4 p.m. at 2950 Tip Top Drive, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said. He said Allport’s body will go to the state crime lab in Decatur for an autopsy.
