Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle will visit Columbus Thursday.
He'll be here to cite the city's Medicare Diabetes Screening Project (MDSP) as a model for rest of the state.
Mayor Jim Wetherington and several Columbus civic leaders, as well as leaders from Albany, Augusta, Macon, Gainesville and Savannah, will meet with Cagle beginning at 11 a.m. for the launching of a state campaign.
Cagle will speak at 3 p.m.
