Two men rob Columbus gas station

A Spectrum gas station in Columbus was robbed Saturday afternoon.

Police said at around 1:45 p.m., two men entered the Spectrum at 1103 Fort Benning Road. One of the men pulled out a pistol and demanded money from store employees.

The two men made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and were last seen running behind the store, said Columbus Police Sgt. Harvey Hatcher.

One of the suspects was described as black, light-skinned in his 20s and about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants and bandana over his face.

The other suspect, who was armed, was described as Hispanic in his 20s, also about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was wearing a black hat, blue jeans, gray shirt and black jacket.

Police have video surveillance of the two suspects and are investigating.
