Gas station manager robbed

A Circle K store manager was robbed Friday morning while on her way to the bank.

At around 10:30 a.m., the 51-year-old manager was leaving the Macon Road gas station to deposit store money, police said. Another manager was waiting for her in the car.

As she was closing the passenger side door, a man approached her, struck her in the eye and demanded the money. The victim told police he had a long weapon, possibly a shotgun.

The robber took the money and jumped into a car, where another man was waiting. The suspects drove east on Macon Road.

Witnesses described the car as a dark green older model vehicle, possibly a Mercury Marquis or Ford, with a red and white paper tag.
