Three days and 30,000 tears later, Paris Hilton has been sprung from jail.
The L.A. County Sheriff's Department released her for an unspecified medical condition, a sheriff's spokesman said Thursday morning. She was sent home with an electronic monitoring device attached to her ankle, and she must remain at home for 40 days.
Initially sentenced to 45 days in jail for an alcohol-related reckless driving charge, her sentence was first reduced to 23 days before the early release. During her three-day stint, the teary-eyed 26-year-old heiress met with her attorney and psychiatrist.
