Columbus crime: Man killed Wednesday was Jarvis K. Sanks

Authorities have identified the Columbus man who died in a shooting Wednesday night as Jarvis K. Sanks, 30.

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. at Lansing Avenue and Forest Road, Columbus Police Lt. Richard Gaines said. Sanks was taken to The Medical Center and pronounced dead at 9:26 p.m., said Coroner Bill Thrower.

The other person shot, who hasn’t yet been named, got into a vehicle and then immediately was involved in a head-on collision.
