Columbus becomes central location for pardons and paroles

The Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles will no longer hold visitor's day in Albany, Augusta or Macon but at a office in Columbus.

This is due to budget constraints on state agencies.

Families of inmates wishing to speak to a board representative on behalf of an inmate can come to the Columbus office, 114 Enterprise Court, from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month.

In addition, visitors have the option of going to board headquarters at 2 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Atlanta on the second Tuesday of the month from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
