School centers to open for reading

In support of its 2007 Summer Reading Program, the Muscogee County School District is opening some of its elementary, middle and high school media centers during part of June.

The program promotes literacy and provides reading opportunities for community youth during the summer break. The program will offer book and author studies; exploration of instruction Web sites and resources; music art and drama activities; and opportunities to prepare for Criterion Referenced Competency Tests and administration of Accelerated Reading Tests.
