Two Columbus men shot in unrelated incidents Friday

Two unrelated shootings Friday night in Columbus put two men in the hospital, according to Columbus Police.

Tidiane Wague, 20, was shot in the head about 9:52 p.m. at Brown Avenue and Seventh Street. The bullet struck him behind the left ear. He was in The Medical Center Saturday in stable condition, said Sgt. Matt Blackstock.

The police are searching for male suspect. There were no other details available.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., Steven Meade, 27, was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the chest during a robbery attempt, Blackstock said.

Police have issued a warrant for Eugene Tolbert, 19, on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Meade told police that $140 was taken. He was in The Medical Center Saturday in stable condition, Blackstock said.
