Auburn students help Texas elementary school

A class of more than 50 Auburn University students enrolled in the executive MBA program have reached out to help a school in Texas whose building was left uninhabitable by Hurrican Ike in September.

Students at the Bridge City school have to to go to class in temporary modular units joined by decks and canopies.

The idea to help originated with Auburn student Kristie Barton, a distribution manager for Mississippi Power.

An EMBA Class of 2010 Hurricane Relief Fund was set up and has $3,405 for the school, so far.
