Free tax assistance available at Columbus Public Library

The Chattahoochee Valley Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Coalition will be providing free tax assistance January 26 through April 8 at the Columbus Public Library on Macon Road.

This is for families with an income limit of $42,000.

Help will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. with the last client taken at 7:30 p.m.

No appointment is necessary.

A special day, Feb. 6, will be set aside for persons with disabilities. Hours that day will be 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. An appointment is required.

Other locations include Contact Chattahoochee Valley, Mission Columbus Center, Homeless Resource Network and Consumer Credit Counseling.
