"DrumLine Live" in the Bill Heard Theatre tonight

The producers of the movie, "Drumline," which was reportedly based on record producer Dallas Austin's early life, decided to do a stage show, which became "DrumLine Live!" Austin grew up in Columbus.

It's based on the marching band tradition of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The musicians onstage are from HBCU marching bands.

The show incorporates original music as well as reworked Top 40 hits.

"DrumLine Live!" can be seen at 7:30 tonight in the Bill Heard Theatre, RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, 900 Broadway.
