29th Infantry Regiment gets new commander

This evening at 8, Lt. Col. Thomas H. Carlisle will assume command of the 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment from Lt. Col. Robert P. Cerjan during a change of command ceremony on York Field at Fort Benning. Cerjan has been assigned to U.S. Army Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base where he will serve on the commander's personal staff.

Carlisle's most recent assignment was as the professor of military science at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The soldiers and civilians assigned tot he 29th Infantry Regiment provide subject matter expertise for the development of training programs and training manuals.

On Friday night, Lt. Col. Sean F. Mullen will assume command of the 4th Ranger Training Battalion, Ranger Training Brigade from Lt. Col. James J. Mingus during a change of command ceremony at the Ranger Memorial near Infantry Hall.

Mingus has been reassigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment where he will assume command of the Special Troops Battalion.
