Waffle House robbed

Two armed men robbed the Waffle House on Buena Vista Road early this morning — the same restaurant robbed on Monday by an unarmed man.

Columbus police says that around 4:30 a.m. two men wearing black clothing, gloves and a ski mask entered the restaurant, demanding money. One man, about 6-toot-three with a slim build, carried a shotgun. The other man, also slim, but only about 6-foot tall, carried a handgun.

The thieves got an undisclosed amount from the store, but robbed the two employees as well. They damaged a telephone, police say, in order to give themselves more time to get away.

It is not known if they escaped in a car or on foot.

In Monday's robbery, a man reached into the restaurant's cash register, grabbed money and ran.
