Valley police arrest pair for stealing car and possessing drugs

Police in Valley, Ala., have arrested two people after finding items used in the manufacture of metamphetamine in a stolen vehicle.

On Tuesday at 7:38 a.m. Valley police received a call about a vehicle stolen from a residence in the 3000 block of Hopewell Road.

At 11:42 a.m. officers with the patrol division located the vehicle traveling southbound on I-85 just south Exit 77. The car was stopped near mile marker 74.

A large quantity of pills containing ephedrine, lithium batteries, epsom salt and caustic chemicals was found in the car.

Cody McManus of Valley and Amber McManus of Valley were arrested.

A search of their residence found a metamphetamine lab.

Both were transported to the Chambers County Jail.
