The Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Ga., will remain the host law school for the Legal Writing Institute until at least 2016, renewing a previous five-year contract that began in 2003.
With close to 2,000 members representing all ABA-accredited law schools in the United States, the Legal Writing Institute is a nonprofit corporation that exchanges ideas about legal writing and provides a forum for research and scholarship about legal writing and legal analysis.
In 2009, Mercer Law School was ranked the No. 1 legal writing program among all ABA-Accredited law schools according to U.S. News and World Report.
