A thunderstorm that rolled through the Chattahoochee Valley left most of Weracoba Park flooded in Columbus Saturday.
A portion of Cherokee Avenue between 13th and 17th streets near Columbus High School was flooded. Heavy rain swelled the nearby creeks and water was flooded the banks.
A power crew was busy near Hilton Avenue and Country Club Road where a power pole was leaning into the street.
The National Weather Service urged residents to stay in door until the storm moves through the area.
