ATLANTA -- The Georgia House sent Rep. Vance Smith's transportation bill back to the Rules Committee Tuesday morning.
The bill, which would give Georgians the opportunity to vote for a statewide sales tax to fund road and transportation projects, was scheduled for debate this morning.
House Speaker Glenn Richardson called an 11 a.m. Rules Committee meeting to add some amendments to the bill. The speaker said it was likely it would be back on the floor for a vote today.
