St. Patrick's Day nightlife festivities begin tonight

Columbus hot spot Scruffy Murphy's kicks off its St. Patrick's Day festivities tonight with some authentic Irish music.

The hot spot hosts Captain Mackey's Goatskin and Stringband, a two-member act that hails from Cork, Ireland. They perform everything from Gaelic songs to contemporary Irish tunes.

Tonight's show starts at 7 p.m. There's no cover.

The act returns to Scruffy Murphy's Tuesday, when the Irish pub hosts a celebration beginning at 11:30 a.m. Scruffy's will serve Irish food throughout the day. Music starts at 2 p.m. Nighttime cover is still being decided, but you can buy $5 advance tickets at the bar through today.
