The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is reminding boat owners to register their watercraft before they embark on spring voyages.
Owners can register boats online, but registrations no longer are printed at DNR offices.
Those with online access can go to www.georgiawildlife.com and click on “Boating” and “Boating Registration” to log into the new system. IF the registration isn't being renewed, owners may have to mail in supporting documents while being issued a temporary authorization. They should get their decals in about a week.
Registrations have an $8 fee for Internet transactions.
