Fort Benning deputy commanding general headed to Iraq

Fort Benning's deputy commanding general and assistant commandant Brig. Gen. Lloyd "Milo" Miles has been reassigned to Iraq.

There, he will serve as the commanding general of the Coalition Military Assistance Training Team, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq.

Fort Benning's commanding general, Major Gen. Michael Barbero said Miles will be missed.

"BG Lloyd Miles and his wife Betsy have made tremendous contributions to the United States Infantry Center and the Fort Benning community," said Barbero. "As he has proved for the past two years as our deputy commanding general, BG Miles is a superb leader and trainer."
