Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music presents a special concert Sunday

“Les Noces,” a seldom-performed opera by Stravinsky, can be heard at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Bill Heard Theatre, RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, 900 Broadway.

The opera will feature soprano Michelle DeBruyn, mezzo-soprano Toni Anderson, tenor Andrew Skoog and baritone Kyle Hancock. The opera also featuresCSU pianists Gila Goldstein, Tracy Xian and Yien Wang and Auburn University pianist Henning Vauth. The CSU Choral Union will sing and the CSU Percussion Ensemble will also perform.

Pianists Goldstein, Xian, Wang and Vauth, along with the CSU Percussion Ensemble, will be performing “Ballet Mécanique” by George Antheil. This piece will be accompanied by Fernand Leger’s 1923 film.

The third piece to be performed will be Lou Harrison’s “Mass to St. Anthony,” which features the CSU Chamber Singers, the CSU Concert Chorale and the CSU Percussion Ensemble.
