Beginning June 1, Americans will need to show a valid U.S. Passport book, U.S. Passport card or other special travel document approved by the Department of Homeland Security when entering the U.S. by land or sea from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Bermuda and land border crossings of sea ports of entry.
The U.S. Post Office is having "Passport Day" on March 28.
The Columbus Main Post Office on Milgen Road and the Downtown Post Office on 12th Street will accept passport applications from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The office on Fort Benning will accept applications from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Passport fees are $75 for adults, and $60 for children under 16. There is a $25 processing fee.
