The venue for the third annual BiCity All-Star Classic has been moved from Central High School's new gymnasium in Phenix City to Chattahoochee Valley Community College's Key Hall.
The classic, which features high school seniors from the local area, will be played Saturday March 28, with the East-West girls game beginning at 5 p.m. A slam dunk contest and 3-point shooting contest will follow, with the boys East-West game beginning at its conclusion.
Central-Phenix City coach Bobby Wright said the venue change was the result of the Alabama High School Athletic Association refusing to sanction the event. The AHSAA has authority over all athletic events involving students from member schools.
CVCC is not required to gain sanctioning. The players, all seniors, have completed this eligibility.
