The Muscogee County School District will hold its 14th annual Title I Grand Slam from 9:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 at Dimon Magnet Academy on Dogwood Drive.
The Grand Slam is a family involvement program that encourages parents to be active participants in their child's education. It is open to families of students in grades K-8.
Participants will complete a variety of activities on key areas on the Criterion Referenced Competency Test in reading and math. The CRCT is a state standardized test which helps determine if a school makes adequate yearly progress according to the guidelines of the federal No Child Left Behind Act. In some grades, the test scores are also used to determine if a student is promoted.
CRCT testing this year will be April 14-24.
