The Housing Authority of Columbus and the SaMarc Dream and Achieve Foundation will celebrate the opening of a new Neighborhood Networks Center at Booker T. Washington Homes with a celebration on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
The center, part of a HUD-sponsored initiative provides an on-site computer and learning center for the residents of public housing. It is a community-based program used to provide residents with technology resources to further their ability to achieve better paying employment and to have access to friends and family.
The Housing Authority will provide participants with job training and employment referrals.
