East Alabama performing artist Doc Waller presents his spoke word show in the Columbus State University Davidson Student Center Auditorium at noon on April 8. He will perform selections from his book, "A Trumpet Butter Hood Swings," as well as other original works.
At 7:30 p.m., Waller will present a one-man show called "Throw Pitchfork," written by Alexander Thomas in the Black Box Theatre in the Theater on the Park downtown. He has previously performed "Throw Pitchfork" in Atlanta's 7 Stages Theatre and the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Arts in Auburn.
Both shows are free.
Waller is executive artistic director of the Layman Group, an arts organization based in Opelika.
