School sales tax hearings continue with another at 6 tonight at Columbus High

The Muscogee County School District's public hearings on a proposed Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax or SPLOST continue, with the last one for this week set for 6 p.m. today at Columbus High School, 1700 Cherokee Avenue.

The meetings to present information and take questions about the sales tax set for a vote Sept. 15 will resume Thursday, April 16, with one at 6:30 p.m. at Blackmon Road Middle School, 7251 Blackmon Road.

The rest of the public hearings will be:

Tuesday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. in Northside High School, 2002 American Way.

Monday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m. in Fort Middle School, 2900 Woodruff Farm Road.

Thursday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m. in Kendrick High School, 6015 Georgetown Drive.

Monday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. in Baker Middle School, 1215 Benning Drive.

Monday, May 11, at 4 p.m. in the Old Bradley Library at 1120 Bradley Drive.
