The U.S. 27 bridge crossing Mountain Creek near Callaway Gardens,cq Pine Mountain, has reopened early.

The bridge was closed Jan. 2 so it could be replaced and widened, according to Barry Hancock, Georgia Department of Transportation District 3cq communications specialist.
"Good weather and the cooperation of our good friends at Callaway Gardens enabled the project to be completed early," Hancock said Friday.
