Local high school students to participate in construction competition in Atlanta

More than 5,000 Georgia high school, middle school and technical college students will take part April 16 and 17 in the fifth annual Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA) Construction Career Expo at the Georgia International Convention Center.

Hardaway High student Roderique Hayes will compete in the carpentry contest and Hardaway student Volodomyer Tubolets will compete in plumbling.

Shaw High student Chris Fuhrman will compete in cabinet making.

Jordan High's Raissa Carter will compete in architectural drafting and Chirstopher McCrady will compete in technical drafting.

Jordan's Matt Warren will compete in the HVACR contest. Jordan's Lucas Culberton will compete in plumbing.

Jordan's Cody Wojciechowski will compete in residental wiring.

Jordan's Michael Alvarado will compete in the sheet metal competition.

Competing in the teamworks contest from Jordan will be Marlin Gilmartin, Brandon Lindsey, Marc Massey and Andre Reams.
