A LaGrange man was arrested Sunday night for threatening to kill another man in the presence of a five-year-old child.
Police say Ellis Harris, of 710 Glenn Robertson Dr., entered another man's apartment on Borton Street in LaGrange about 7:30 p.m. and started a fight. Harris allegedly chased the victim around the home with a knife and threatened to kill and cut him.
This was all done in front of a young child, police say.
When officers arrived at the scene on Borton Street in LaGrange, Harris was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple battery, terroristic threats and third-degree cruelty to children. He is being held in the Troup County Jail.
