Easter for more than 300 area children got much better today thanks to the efforts of a local hospital and its associates.
A team from St. Francis spent Wednesday morning delivering 315 super-sized Easter Baskets to six area agencies. The baskets, stuffed with a variety of candy, toys and practical items such as school supplies, were delivered by volunteers for the Mission Awareness Team at St. Francis.
This is the 13th year for the program.
The baskets were delivered to Open Door Community House, Muscogee County DFACS, Damascus Way, Children's Tree House, Hope harbor and the House of Mercy.
