Columbus Chamber's May 1 golf outing sells out 2 p.m. tee time

The Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce's May 1 Golf Extravaganza has sold out itx 2 p.m. tee time, but still has openings for 8 a.m., the chamber announced Friday.

The annual event runs 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Maple Ridge Golf Club, 4700 Maple Ridge Trail. Each year "Tee Sponsors" compete to see which can present the most entertaining golfer tent. The "Best Tee Award" winner receives the coveted title and a free tee sponsorship for the following year. Last year Batson-Cook Construction won the "Best Tee Award" for its redneck theme "Git-R-Done."

Prices for various sponsorships are:

Beverage station sponsor, $250.

Continuous sponsor for the 2 p.m. tee time: $275.

Continuous sponsor for the 8 a.m. tee time: $250.

Eagle sponsor, $1,400.

Eagle sponsor with extra team, $1,600.

Golf cart sponsor, $150.

Team 8 a.m. tee time, $500.

Tee sponsor, $550.
