Polio survivors to attend international conference in Warm Springs at Roosevelt Institute

The Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation will be the site on April 23-25 of Post Polio Health International's 10th International Conference.

Polio survivors from across the U.S.A. and six foreign countries are expected to attend, more than 400 people.

Among the highlights will be an address by Pulitzer Prize winning author David Oshinsky.

Other speakers include John Fitzsimmons of the Centers for Disease Control and Edith Powell of Tuskegee University.

The theme of the conference will be "Living With Polio in the 21st Century."
