Columbus crime: Rondell Farver accused of firing gun, charged with aggravated assault

A Columbus man is in jail on accusations he fired a gun at a moving car Saturday, police said.

Rondell Farver, 20, was charged with aggravated assault after a woman said he fired a gun on Walker Street.

The 29-year-old woman flagged down a Columbus police officer after he heard gunfire around 7:30 p.m. She told the officer that she was going east on Walker Street and tried to pass two cars that had stopped in the road.

As she passed, one of the cars’ occupants cursed and the vehicles started following them, police said. One of them – later identified as Rondell Farver – fired a shot, reports state.
