Russell County's Office of Homeland Security/Emergency Management (OHSEM) has been awarded a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to install 20 additional outdoor warning sirens.
The $279,828 grant will help Russell OHSEM warn county residents of severe weather or other dangerous conditions.
"The sirens will be a valuable asset to the citizens of out community," said OHSEM Director Chance Corbett.
