Husband shot at Auburn gas station

An Auburn man was life-flighted to Birmingham after his wife shot him Thursday in the parking lot of a gas station.

Pamela Tolbert, 38, was having an argument with her husband, Lorenzo Tolbert, 39, when she pulled out a gun and shot him around 5:45 p.m. at the Mitcham Avenue Spur gas station, said Auburn Police Capt. Jerry Holder.

"This is a domestic incident that happened in the parking lot," Holder said. "She had left the scene. Officers stopped her and recovered a gun."

Pamela Tolbert was arrested two blocks from the shooting. She is charged with attempted murder and is being held at the Lee County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.

Her husband was flown to a hospital at The University of Alabama in Birmingham.
