Defendant in molestation trial denies touching child

A Columbus man charged with child molestation took the stand today in his own defense against allegations he improperly touched a 10-year-old girl.

Terrance Postell, 28, said he never touched the girl with whom he used to live — a direct contradiction with accusations leveled against him by the child and her mother. Postell said the story that he touched her Nov. 25 in the bathroom of the home he in lived in was false.

"I don't know who created it, but it was created," he said of the story.

Both the prosecution and defense have rested their cases, and closing arguments are scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
