We're not sure what Seaweed is doing so far inland, but fans of LaGrange, Ga., actor Elijah Kelley aren't complaining.
Twenty-year-old Kelley, who plays Seaweed J. Stubbs in the new movie version of John Waters' "Hairspray," returns to his hometown on the weekend of the movie's release. The actor arrives at the Carmike LaGrange 10, 201 Main St., at 3 p.m. Saturday. LaGrange mayor Jeff Lukken and other city officials will present him a key to the city. The event is free and open to the public.
Kelley has also taken roles in "Take the Lead" with Antonio Banderas and "28 Days" with Sandra Bullock.
