Lunch boxes costing $20 or less are included in the list of exempt school supplies that qualify for the August 2-5 sales tax holiday.
Joanne Cavis, Family and Consumer Educator for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service in Columbus, has some advice for buying a good one.
When selecting a lunchbox, she said, purchase either a hard-sided or soft-sided well insulated, five-quart size. Check and see if it has room for a chill pack, beverage and extra snack and make sure it has a water resistant lining.
