The West Central Health District is currently recruiting for its Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).
These new volunteers will include both medical and non-medical persons who will assist with the local response during emergencies, disasters, and other events, said Cheryl Johnson, public relations information coordinator for the West Central Health District.
“Currently, the West Central Health District is more than 200 strong with volunteers from various organizations and we’d like to enhance that number by adding to our new MRC Unit,” Johnson said. “Our volunteers are residents from our 16-county area and bring a variety of knowledge and expertise to the response teams.” For more information on Medical Reserve Corps visit: www.medicalreservecorps.gov/resources.asp .
