Columbus Technical College has received a grant that will help youth stay in school.
The $53,207 grant is funded through Georgia's Stay in School Program, and CTC is one of nine schools in Georgia's Department of Technical and Adult Education to receive one of the grants that total $1 million, said Cheryl Myers, director of communications at CTC.
The Stay in School grant helps fund education in certain middle and high school programs. Grant money will provide career and tutoring for Stewart Quitman High School, Carver Middle School in Harris County and Chattahoochee Middle School.
This is the third year CTC has gotten the grant.
